Today is about speed over perfection. When I was a software developer and designer, one of the concepts was agile development. Agile Development was essentially a paradigm shift between the old clunky software that was released on cds and more modern web based software.
Today I want to talk about unfiltered marketing. The common marketing space is going to tell you to only show the world the good stuff because if you're broken or flawed or ugly or sad or depressed or failing or struggling or suffering, who wants to see that? Nobody's going to buy from you if they perceive you to be this way. In my work with my clients, I do pretty much the opposite.
Today I want to talk about how culture is backwards. If we look out into the modern Western world, we see a rapidly increasing majority of people who are suffering, people who are sick, people with chronic disease, obesity, unfulfillment, unsatisfaction, people that hate their jobs, people that live for the weekend...
Today I want to talk about the difference between feedback and opinions. What is feedback? Feedback is a direct response from the environment, but an action that we've taken that lets us know if what we are doing works or does not work. So an example of this would be your bank account.
Today I want to talk about scale amplification. When you are running your business, say at $5,000 a month, you're at, let's say one x scale, and this is say your baseline. This is how you start your business.
Today I want to talk about fearless curiosity. One of the things that I see people do that gets in the way of pretty much their everyday life is throwing their hands up when they don't understand something, they simply kind of just give up. I see this happen a lot with people who aren't good with technology.
Today I want to talk a bout avoidance secret. One of the things that I've discovered in my own life and I see a lot of my students have trouble with is avoiding doing the thing that will actually get them the result. I see this happen in my own life quite frequently.
Today I want to talk about being open to outcomes is important, to have a vision for yourself and your business is important to have a picture in your mind and written out, and this allows you to move forward in a specific direction. This allows you to set out on a journey on a quest towards manifesting that vision. However, if we are attached to this, if we are attached to the outcome of what this has to look like, we may be in some trouble because the life that you have planned for yourself may not be the plan that life has for you.
Today I want to talk about permission to ask when we are growing up, we have been indoctrinated with the idea of asking permission to ask permission. We must raise our hand in class to ask if we're allowed to use the restroom. We are told at work that we must ask and stay in line and get permission first before we do whatever it is we want.
Today I want to talk about the importance of speaking up. When we see something and we don't say something, we are holding that person back. When we see something that can be improved, when we see something that is delightful, when we see something that is wonderful and cherishable or when we see something that is abhorrent and dangerous, it's essential that we speak up without feedback from the environment.
